What happens in healthcare if Roe v Wade is overturned?

With the landscape of reproductive health care shifting in our country and our state, FPE has heard from many providers and patients who are worried about what the upcoming Supreme Court decision might mean for healthcare. To answer some of these questions, we have prepared two resource documents, now available in both English and Spanish:
- FAQs for Healthcare Providers: outlining legal and medical considerations if Roe v Wade is overturned.
- FAQs for Patients and Community Members: detailing what the changes will mean from a patient perspective.
Please feel free to share these documents within your networks, and with your patients. If you have any questions that are not covered in the documents, please reach out to our team via email at hello@fpe.org or via text at (801) 839-5356. You can also reach a member of our clinical team by calling the University of Utah Hospital operator at (801) 581-2121 and asking for the family planning provider on call.
While there is much about the coming months that is uncertain, we find comfort in the strength of Utah’s communities and the dedication of Utah’s health care teams. Thank you for the incredible work you do.
